Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome

Our Mission:
To assist and support, through fellowship and action, the fathers and families of people with Down syndrome.

Brief History

D.A.D.S. started in the summer of 2002 with a small group of men that had one thing in common - a child with Down syndrome.

D.A.D.S. has at its roots a strong affiliation with the Indiana Down Syndrome Foundation (IDSF). We started as a place where fathers can share with other fathers about the important things in our lives.  We have been very pleased to see consistent attendance at every one of the monthly meetings and have welcomed at least one father new to D.A.D.S. every month since our inception. We come from various backgrounds and walks of life and look forward to accomplishing great things for our children in the coming years.

If you are a father of a child with Down syndrome and looking for a place to share your story and/or find others willing to share in the joy of fatherhood, please join our mailing list and know you are welcome to attend our meeting. We look forward to hearing from you.
